Margaret Sanger, founder of the American birth-control movement, argued in this 1920 book that voluntary motherhood was the key to women's freedom and to a better society. It ties contraception to eugenic hopes for 'the new race', and with 'My Way to Peace' of 1932 it shows how Progressive reform and eugenics travelled together.
